Build the restroom route into the gathering
Describe the audience, duration, existing bathrooms and where activities take place. On a constrained venue, the position should work with entry, queues and refreshments rather than competing with them. Include accessible facilities and washing in that initial layout discussion.
Confirm placement with the operator
A clear area may still be reserved for circulation, emergency access or another booking. Ask the venue contact to approve the location and supplier approach. Public or managed property can have separate permissions; a portable toilet quote does not authorise an event or occupation of the space.
Check the layout at its busiest moment
Picture guests queuing, doors opening and suppliers moving through the venue at the same time. Use that picture when discussing the toilet and washing positions. Keep the organiser involved in reviewing the approach, particularly if additional furniture or barriers are planned. A clear site at setup is not necessarily a clear site during the programme.
- Likely queue locations
- Circulation around equipment doors
- Organiser review after layout changes
